No. It is processed in your browser. Only the import by web address contacts another site, and you allow it each time.

Chrome and Opera, checked with every version. Firefox and Safari work too; if the 3D display is not available there, Ostibook switches to compatible mode on its own.

Yes. All 35 languages give access to the same features. French serves as the reference, and each language is written according to its own natural usage.

A PDF, EPUB, DOCX or PPTX up to 200 MB, up to 200 JPG, PNG or WebP images, or a text, Markdown or HTML. You can also paste a file or a long text.

Only the beginning is shown, namely 150 pages of a PDF, 150 chapters of an EPUB, 100 pages of a DOCX or 150 slides of a PPTX. For a PDF of more than 400 pages and more than 100 MB, the first 60 pages are shown.

The one that looks like your document. The mode changes how the flipbook looks, never its content, and you can change it until export. The Create page shows an example of each of the six modes.

Ostibook rebuilds its pages in your browser, and a font missing from the device can shift the text. To keep the layout exactly, first save the document as a PDF.

Convert it first. Lmaotools, a free site by the same author, changes the format of an image in your browser, for example a HEIC photo or an AVIF image into JPG, PNG or WebP. Then import the result into Ostibook.

Lighten it or split it before importing. Lmaotools compresses a PDF or divides it into several files, also in your browser. Then import the lightened version or the part you need.

Not as it is, since locked PDFs are not supported. If you know its password, first remove the protection, for example with Lmaotools, then import the file.

Yes, in Pages and cover. Add a document appends its pages after the existing ones, and you can remove or move each page. Links and notes follow their pages.

Yes. Ostibook detects this for Arabic and Hebrew, and the Reading direction setting lets you change it for any document.

These complete editions are in the public domain or openly licensed. Each one is shown in one of the six modes, so you can see what the format, the paper and the binding change.

In the reader, Copy the link to this page gives an address that opens at the page shown. An export also keeps the page in its address.

Yes. Presentation mode opens the book in full screen, with a timer and a preview of the next page. The B key turns the screen black, and Escape exits.

It only uses the voices installed on your device, and only if the document contains text. Without an installed voice, or for a document made of images, the button does not appear.

No. You download the export and publish it yourself.

Export an HTML file or a folder, upload it to your website or hosting provider, then share its address. The QR code and the embed code are created from this address.

The HTML file does, even when opened from your disk. The folder is meant to be published online.

Maximum quality is the default choice. Balanced and Light make the file smaller, and the size of each choice is shown before download.

The pages, text and links in the export are encrypted. Without the password, no one can read them, and a lost password cannot be recovered. A protected folder must be published online to open.

In your browser's library, on this device. They do not move from one browser or device to another. To move them, export a project and open it elsewhere in Ostibook.

Ostibook doesn't set one. The only limit is the space your browser has available.

It goes with it. Export a complete project if you want to keep a copy.

Yes. In the Local library, a shelf groups 2 to 24 flipbooks in one folder, with a home page. It has neither a password nor a QR code.
